Terms and Conditions: Misan’s "$5 Delay-Proof Promise"
1. Introduction and Acceptance
These Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") govern Misan's "$5 Delay-Proof Promise" Offer (the "Offer"), which forms part of Misan’s 2025 Detty December Campaign. By participating in the Offer, users agree to be bound by these Terms. The purpose of this Offer is to highlight Misan’s reliability as a remittance service by compensating users for any delays in transfer delivery, particularly during busy festive periods.The Offer is administered by Internode Pay Limited ("Misan," "we," "us," or "our").
2. Campaign Period
The Offer is only valid for qualifying money transfer transactions executed between December 10, 2025 (00:00 WAT) and December 31, 2025 (23:59 WAT).Transactions outside this period are automatically excluded.
3. Eligibility
3.1. The Offer is only applicable to payout transactions i.e., money transfers resulting in funds being paid out to a recipient's account.
3.2. The Offer specifically does not apply to:
Wallet funding;
Deposits into virtual bank accounts; and Payments made via USD Cards.
3.3. To qualify, the payout transaction amount must be equal to or exceed the following minimum thresholds:

CAD $500
GBP £500
EUR €500
NGN ₦750,000
Or the equivalent of the above in any other supported currency as determined by Misan.
4. Definition of "Delayed" Transfer
4.1. For the exclusive purpose of this Offer, a qualifying money transfer (payout transaction) is deemed "delayed" if its successful delivery to the destination financial institution takes more than 30 minutes beyond the promised delivery window stated on the Misan application or website or any other communication sent to you by Misan.
4.2. Misan's internal transaction timestamps (recording the initiation and completion of the transfer) shall be the sole and exclusive reference for determining if a delay has occurred. For the avoidance of doubt, no other timestamps from any source, including third-party systems or recipient banks, will be considered or accepted.
5. The Offer and Claim Limits
5.The Offer provides a fixed reward of $5 USD or an equivalent amount in another currency, as determined by Misan. Where the payout is made in a different currency, the equivalent value will be calculated using Misan’s prevailing exchange rate on the payout date.
5.2. A user is entitled to a maximum of one (1) $5 Delay-Proof Promise payment per day during the Campaign Period, regardless of the number of qualifying transactions completed or delayed on that day. For example, if a user makes three qualifying transactions in one day and all are delayed, the user is still only eligible for one $5 payment for that day.
6. Claim Process
6.1. Claiming the Offer is not an automatic process. Users whose transactions meet the "delayed" definition pursuant to Clause 4 must proactively submit a claim.
6.2. To submit a claim, the user must contact Misan Support via the designated support channel i.e. getmisan@investbamboo.com within seven (7) calendar days of the delayed transaction.
6.3. Misan reserves the right to validate the claim against all criteria outlined in these Terms and reject any claims that do not fit the specified criteria in these Terms.
6.4. Valid claims will be honoured and the $5 USD payment will be processed to the user's Misan account within seven (7) working days from the date the claim is validated and approved by Misan.In exceptional or unforeseen circumstances, Misan reserves the right to extend this timeline, and users will be notified where practicable.
7. Exclusions
The "$5 Delay-Proof Promise" does not apply if the delay is caused by, results from, or is attributable to any of the following factors:
7.1. User Error: Incorrect recipient account details, bank details, or destination information provided (e.g., SWIFT, Sort Code, IBAN) by the user.
7.2. System Failures or Downtime by Third Parties: System or operational downtime, scheduled maintenance, technical failure, or other operational issues at the recipient/destination bank or financial institution.
7.3. Holidays or Weekend Delays: Delays caused by the closure or limited operating hours of any payment partner, intermediary, or the recipient bank due to local public holidays, weekends, or non-working days in the origin or destination country.
7.4 Compliance/Fraud: The transaction is flagged, delayed, or suspended due to internal or external compliance checks, fraud risk assessments, suspicious activity, or any regulatory requirements.
7.5. Global System Failures: Wide-scale, external system failures (e.g., major cloud service provider outages, internet backbone issues, or other Force Majeure events).
7.6. User Cancellation: The transfer is cancelled or reversed by the user.
7.7 Abuse of Offer: Users who attempt to exploit, manipulate, or otherwise game the Offer whether through fraudulent activity, artificial transaction patterns, multiple account misuse, or any conduct deemed malicious or abusive by Misan will be disqualified from the Offer. Misan reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to reject any claim or exclude any user where such behaviour is suspected or identified.
7.8 Delays occurring after the funds have been successfully dispatched to the receiving financial institution are not covered by this Offer.
7.9 Users whose accounts are suspended, under review, or otherwise restricted at the time of claim validation are not eligible for the Offer.
8. General Conditions
8.1. Misan reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Offer and these Terms at any time without prior notice. Misan may, subject to its discretion, make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.
8.2. Misan’s decision on all matters related to the Offer, including but not limited to eligibility, claim validity, and interpretation of these Terms, is final and binding.
8.3. Participation in the Offer is deemed acceptance of the Misan platform's general Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
8.4. Any attempt to abuse or manipulate the Offer rules will result in disqualification from the Offer and may lead to suspension or termination of the user’s Misan account.
8.5 Misan shall not be liable for any losses, delays, or damages arising from network outages, third-party system failures, regulatory restrictions, or circumstances beyond Misan’s direct control.
9. Personal Data and Processing
9.1. Any personal data processed or controlled during the Offer will be dealt with in line with Misan’s Privacy Policy that applies to your Misan Account. Please refer to Misan’s Privacy Policy/Notice.
9.2. By participating in the Offer, you agree to receive promotional and campaign emails from Misan.
9.3. All individuals who participate in the Offer agree to the use of their names, pictures, or videos on social media and other media platforms by Misan.
10. Governing Law
The Offer and these Terms will be governed by Nigerian law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria.
